ART & SCIENCE OF BOTOX® A Botulinum Toxin “A” Workshop

ART & SCIENCE OF BOTOX® Workshop Overview:

This Allergan® recognized comprehensive one-day hands-on training workshop explores the applications of Botox® for cosmetic purposes. The workshop will focus on the most popular areas requested for treatment and include the history of Botulinum toxin A, new developments on the horizon and a brief analysis of Botulinum toxin B. Recognizing that safety is the cornerstone of effective treatment, the workshop will focus extensively on facial anatomy and physiology.

Didactic presentation will include:

  • Participants will receive a comprehensive presentation of the mechanism of action, contraindications, safety and efficacy issues, management and treatment of complications, storage, preparation and dilution guidelines.

The Advanced training one day workshop includes a Practicum Hands-On session that identifies and maps areas for injection. Participants will also administer injections as part of the tutorial.

Included in this one day workshop is a “How To” Business Model overview.

ART & SCIENCE OF BOTOX® Workshop Objectives
At the conclusion of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Identify pertinent facial anatomy
  • Explain physiology (direction of muscle movement) muscles
  • Explain mechanism of action
  • Discuss safety issues of administration
  • Demonstrate proper technique for injection
  • Demonstrate proper management and treatment of complications
  • Plan safe storage, preparation, and proper dilution
  • Recognize opportunities for practice expansion

Workshop materials:

Participants receive a course manual, marketing tools, essential forms and templates on a disc that include history, consent, and policy/procedure forms.

Certification of Training & Continuing education, CE, credits:

Upon completion of ART & SCIENCE OF BOTOX® Workshop:

RN’s  are eligible to earn 8.5 Contact Hours (CE’s) approved for Nursing.
Physicians & Physician Assistants are eligible to earn  a maximum of 7.5 AMA PRA Category I credits™.  (Physicians and Physician Assistants should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity).
Dentists are eligible to earn a maximum of 7.5 ADA CERP continuing education credits.

CANCELLATION POLICY
Please note: All cancellations must be received (not postmarked) in writing via mail or fax transmission. Cancellation Policy must be strictly enforced since workshops require a great deal of planning and preparation.
• A refund will be given, less a $100.00 processing fee, if cancelled at least 14 days prior to the start of the workshop. Any cancellations after this time will not qualify for a refund, but may be used toward a future workshop with the approval of the administrative department of ESI.
• Since a minimum number of registrants are necessary for each course and we do not meet this minimum, or for any other reason beyond our control the course is cancelled or postponed, registration fee will be refunded in full. Please note, ESI is not responsible for deposits to hotels, non-refundable airline tickets or fees associated with necessary airline changes.
