DERMAL FILLERS Workshop Overview

The ART OF DERMAL FILLER IMPLANTATION Workshop will explore the creative and artistic aspects important for a successful treatment outcome which will include special techniques to create the look your patients’ desire and ways to treat difficult problem areas. The workshop will present the history, background, development and characteristics of dermal fillers (Restylane, Hylaform, Captique, Juvederm), as well as new fillers on the horizon.

This one-day intensive hands-on training workshop is an approved certification course by Inamed Aesthetics and Medicis Corporation.  Intensive Hands-On sessions will highlight the day

Didactic presentation will include:

  • Various injection techniques
  • Contraindications and precautions
  • Potential risks and safety issues
  • Management/treatment of complications
  • Pain management to include: topical numbing agents, dental nerve blocks and infiltrations

Workshop discussion will include:

  • The consultation and assessment process
  • Implementation of patient selection criteria
  • Review the importance of establishing realistic patient expectations and

            patient education to ensure positive patient outcome.

The ART OF DERMAL FILLER IMPLANTATION Workshop includes a
“How To” Business Model Overview.

The ART OF DERMAL FILLER IMPLANTATION Workshop Objectives:
At the conclusion of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Discuss the development and characteristics of the Hyaluronic Acids and Collagens
  • Compare Hyaluronic Acids and Collagen implants and associated applications
  • Describe the patient consultation, patient selection criteria and proper patient education
  • Describe pain management issues, use of topical numbing agents, Dental Block and Infiltration anesthesia
  • Discuss and Demonstrate proper preparation and injection techniques
  • Discuss indications, contraindications, precautions, and potential risks
  • Demonstrate proper management and treatment of complications
  • Summarize reporting of adverse events
  • Recognize opportunities for practice expansion

Workshop Materials:

Participants receive a course manual, marketing tools, essential forms and templates on a disc that include history, consent, and policy/procedure forms.

Criteria for enrollment:

1. Workshop participants may serve as a model and/or bring one qualified model (each model should need treatment in the lips, nasolabial folds and/or oral commissures). Participants within driving distance of workshop are encouraged to bring their own model(s). ESI will provide models if needed for those who are not within driving distance or not able to bring their own model. Workshop Participants and Models prone to cold sores must be on a treatment regime, such as Valtrex,  to prevent an outbreak.

2. Participants must contact ESI’s Sylvia or Corey regarding the purchase of Restylane, Juvederm, or Captique for use in this course. The cost of these products are not included in workshop enrollment fees.  .

Certification of Training & Continuing Education, CE, credits:

RN’s  are eligible to earn 8.5 Contact Hours (CE’s) approved for Nursing.

Physicians & Physician Assistants are eligible to earn  a maximum of 7.5 AMA PRA Category I credits™.  (Physicians and Physician Assistants should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity).

Dentists are eligible to earn a maximum of 7.5 ADA CERP continuing education credits.

CANCELLATION POLICY
Please note: All cancellations must be received (not postmarked) in writing via mail or fax transmission. Workshops require detailed planning and preparation therefore our Cancellation Policy is strictly enforced.

REFUNDS
Full refund, minus $100.00 processing fee, if cancelled a minimum of 14 days prior to the start of the workshop. Cancellations after this time will not be refunded but with approval from ESI administrators, may be applied to future workshops
• If this workshop does not have a minimum number of registrants necessary to teach the course, or if for reasons beyond our control the course is cancelled or postponed, registration fee will be refunded in full. (Please note, ESI is not responsible for deposits to hotels, non-refundable airline tickets or fees associated with necessary airline changes).
