Similar Treatments and Alternatives for ReFirme

When considering ReFirme Skin Tightening bi-polar radio frequency and light treatment, it's important that you consider all of your alternatives so that you choose the procedure that's best for you. If you're looking to tighten loose skin and diminish the appearance of wrinkles, you may also benefit from these treatments:

BOTOX® Facial Filler

If you like the idea of instant results, BOTOX® facial filler is one of the fastest-working cosmetic options for reducing the appearance of deep lines and wrinkles as well as tightening skin. Targeting similar areas to that of skin tightening treatment via bi-polar radio frequency and light, such as the eyes, the lines around the mouth, loose skin on the neck and creases on the forehead, BOTOX® will make your skin firm and taut, instantly making your appear younger.

BOTOX® is slightly more invasive than ReFirme because it requires injections into the layers of the skin, but it's not as invasive or as permanent as surgery. BOTOX® may also be less expensive than the competition because it costs an average of $500 per session (with maintenance visits required every four to six months). However, results are not as long-lasting.

Sculptra Facial Filler

Another facial filler alternative is Sculptra, which works very similarly to BOTOX® (and is similarly invasive) but is different in several important ways. Firstly, Sculptra is a Poly-L-lactic acid compound, which is a bio-compatible compound absorbed by the body, whereas BOTOX® is a toxin-based compound that can sometimes cause poisoning when overdosed. Sculptra is more expensive than BOTOX® and requires more sessions, but it's quite similar to the cost and duration of treatment to that of ReFirme. (An average of four sessions spread out across twelve to twenty-four weeks for a total average of $1000 to $2500.)

Like with bi-polar radio frequency and light skin tightening treatment, Sculptra works gradually, with slight improvement after each session, for more natural-looking results. Sculptra also has longer results than BOTOX® and can last up to two years before you need maintenance visits. However, while the bi-polar radio freqiency and light skin tightening treatment needs maintenance visits every year or so, you may need fewer sessions each time than with Sculptra®.

Face Lift Surgery (Rhytidectomy)

The only way to get permanent or semi-permanent results when it comes to erasing facial imperfections is through face lift surgery. The benefit of this surgery is that the results are permanent and it's typically performed in as little as one visit. However, unlike ReFirme, it's highly invasive and comes with much greater risks for side effects and permanent damage. You may also not be happy with the results and may be unable to fix them. Also, the cost is much more than that of alternatives, with prices averaging between $6000 and $25,000, depending on how many procedures you have performed.

There is no right or wrong choice when it comes to skin tightening treatments such as ReFirme. Schedule a consultation appointment with your cosmetic specialist to compare and contrast what each type of treatment can do for your individual case.
