Vitalize Peel and Dry Skin

Vitalize Peel is a cosmetic procedure that is able to reduce wrinkles and fine lines and may also correct age spots or acne. The Vitalize Peel procedure is recommended for any skin types, however, there are some things to consider if you have dry skin.

What to Expect with Dry Skin

Vitalize Peel can be safely applied on dry skin and the results should be similar to the results obtained in people with other skin types.

However, after the procedure, one of the possible side effects includes excessive skin dryness and flaking. If you already have dry skin, this side effect will surely be present; talk to your physician about recommending you a rich moisturizing cream that can be safely used after a Vitalize Peel treatment. If your skin is flaking, don’t tear the skin, as you may cause scarring. Use only mild facial cleansers and avoid facial scrubs.

It is also important to protect your skin after the Vitalize Peel treatment, as the skin will be sensitive and the sun may cause damage. Get a sunblock cream with a high UVA and UVB protection factor, at least SPF 30, and wear it at least 5 days after a peel procedure.
