Prevelle Silk is an injectible solution that contains hyaluronic acid and may be applied to reduce wrinkles and fine lines. The treatment is mainly used on the face, but may also be applied to other areas of the body.
Areas of the Body Treated by Prevelle Silk
The majority of the patients that get a Prevelle Silk treatment will get the injections in the facial area. The injections may reduce fine lines, folds and wrinkles such as:
- Crow’s feet, which form at the corner of the eyes
- Smile lines
- Vertical lip lines
- Oral commisures
- Marionette lines
The wrinkles and fine lines can only be corrected if they are moderate; if they are severe, these may only be reduced. Prevelle Silk may be applied on other areas such as the neck or cleavage, where there may be fine lines and wrinkles.
The injections with hyaluronic acid cannot be applied under areas with thick skin (i.e. on the forehead). The duration of a Prevelle Silk treatment is between 6 and 12 months, depending on the solution that is injected and the way the patient reacts to the treatment. The procedure may be reapplied after the hyaluronic acid under the skin is gone.
