Recovery after Evolence

An injectable filler, Evolence is quite safe and easy to administer. Evolence treatments are non invasive and can be performed in a doctor's office. The treatment is intended to reduce lines and wrinkles. Evolence is administered with a fine needle to certain areas to achieve the desired results. In most cases, treatment does not require anesthetic, but some doctors will use a topical anesthetic to make administration of the injections more comfortable for the patient.

After Evolence Treatments

Evolence treatment requires very little aftercare. Some swelling, redness or bruising is possible after the treatment. Any discomfort or swelling can typically be treated with over-the-counter medications, particularly ibuprofen. Cold packs or compresses can also help reduce swelling, which typically fades within twenty-four hours. Because Evolence is collagen-based, these side effects tend to be even milder than with other injectable fillers. Allergic reactions are extremely rare. After treament, any unusual symptoms should be immediately reported to your doctor.

Precautions after Treatment

To ensure optimum results, patients should avoid strenuous exercise and alcoholic beverages for one or two days after treatment. Excessive temperatures, such as saunas or overly cold temperatures, should also be avoided, as well as excessive exposure to sunlight.

The effects of Evolence treatment are immediately visible, but will improve over the next few days. In some cases, a follow-up treatment is recommended after about two weeks. This is usually in cases where the lines being treated are particularly deep, such as in naso-labial folds (the lines from the nose to the corners of the mouth).

Evolence can last up to twelve months before additional treatments are required to maintain desired results.
