Alternative Uses of Zerona Laser Liposuction

Zerona Laser Liposuction is a newer procedure that allows people to remove subcutaneous fat from their body. While diet and exercise can remove a lot of fat from the body, there may be times when a patient is unable to remove all of the fat they'd like. With Zerona Laser Liposuction, they can begin to remove any remaining fat from various areas of the body. Right now, there are no alternative uses for Zerona as approved by the FDA.

Stomach Fat

The most common area where Zerona Laser Liposuction is used is on the abdomen. Whether due to genetics or to troubles maintaining a healthy diet, this is an area where fat can accumulate. With the liposuction treatment, the fat on the outer surface can be removed, though visceral fat and other fat deposits cannot be removed with Zerona Laser Liposuction.

Arm, Leg and Buttock Fat

Some patients will also accumulate fat on their arms and legs, which may not reduce after stringent dieting. When this is the case, Zerona Laser Liposuction can be used for some people. The cannula will remove the fat from under the skin, though this fat will not be able to be used to plump up any other areas of the body. The buttocks are another common area where liposuction can help to reshape what genetics has given a patient.
