Candidacy for PureLipo

PureLipo is a tumescent liposuction procedure, which is less invasive than traditional liposuction. To be considered a candidate for the procedure, you must be in general good health with sufficient skin elasticity.

This procedure is performed as an outpatient procedure. The treatment areas will be injected with a solution containing saline, epinephrine and local anesthetic. The saline helps to separate the fat from the cells, while the epinephrine alleviates bruising and bleeding.

Your doctor will make a small incision and insert a small cannula into the treatment area. PureLipo can be used to treat areas on the abdomen, back, neck, face, buttocks, breasts and thighs.

PureLipo Exclusions

PureLipo may not be right for you if you suffer from certain preexisting or medical conditions. If you are currently using Accutane or have used it in the past six months, you should not undergo PureLipo treatments.

You should also tell your doctor if you are pregnant or suffer from diabetes, blood disorders, high blood pressure, breathing or heart problems. You may also be excluded from treatment if you have a drug or alcohol addiction.

PureLipo is not a treatment for obesity. It is designed to treat areas that have not responded well to past dieting and exercise.
