How to Prepare for the Procedure

Birth control pills should be eliminated 2 weeks prior the surgery. Being on birth control pills can increase the risks of blood cloths.

In case you smoke, you should quit 1 week before the surgery and try not to resume smoking after the surgery. Smoking can create complications and delay the healing process.

In most cases, the body jet lipo can be performed under local anesthesia. It is important that you have a good meal before the surgery, so as to avoid fainting. In case you are allergic to anesthetics, you should inform your surgeon beforehand.

The body jet liposuction surgery is an outpatient surgery, so you may go home after the surgery. However, due to the long lasting effect of the anesthetics, you should arrange for someone to pick you up.
