Lipolite Laser Liposculpture

What is Lipolite?

LipoLite laser liposculpture is a body sculpting procedure that combines the suction of traditional liposuction with the fat-melting capabilities of lasers to achieve effective fat removal with less trauma, less discomfort, less downtime, and faster healing than traditional liposuction alone. The Lipolite technique uses laser energy to gently heat and break apart fat cells, allowing them to be suctioned out with less trauma to surrounding tissues, resulting in a far shorter recovery period. The laser’s heat also encourages production of new collagen, resulting in an overall firmer appearance of the skin in the treatment area.

How does Lipolite differ from traditional liposuction?

Lipolite offers multiple advantages over traditional liposuction techniques, including:
• Less trauma
• Faster recovery time
• Less discomfort
• Less swelling and bruising after the procedure
• Less blood loss
• No need for general anesthesia
• More refined, precise results
• Encourages the development of new collagen, resulting in firmer skin

Who is a candidate for Lipolite?

Lipolite is a great option for both men and women in good general health who have stubborn pockets of fat that do not respond to regular diet and exercise, and who are at or near their ideal weight.

Which areas is Lipolite useful for?

LipoLite laser liposculpture is designed to treat small areas of fat, and is an ideal choice for removal of isolated fat pockets located in the:

• Face
• Neck
• Arms
• Back
• Thighs
• Buttocks
• Belly

Lipolite is also an excellent choice for the treatment of gynecomastia, or male breast enlargement.

Who is not a candidate for Lipolite?

Lipolite may not be a good choice for you if
• you are more than 25 pounds above your ideal weight
• you have certain blood or autoimmune disorders
• you want to have large amounts of fat removed
• you have certain other chronic health conditions

As with all medical procedures, it is important to discuss your candidacy with your doctor before scheduling your procedure.

Is the fat removal from the Lipolite technique permanent?

The fat cells which are removed during the Lipolite procedure are permanently gone, but patients should maintain a healthy lifestyle, including a healthy diet and regular exercise, to prevent fat from recurring in or near the treatment area.

How is the procedure performed?

After numbing the treatment area with a local anesthetic, a small incision will be made and a thin metal tube, called a cannula, will be inserted. The cannula will be used to emit highly focused laser energy through an optical laser to break apart fat cells, and then suction out the liquefied fat, as well as any saline solution used in the procedure. The entire Lipolite procedure takes from 30 minutes to one hour for each area treated, and is performed on an outpaient basis.

What is the recovery like?

After your Lipolite procedure, you may have some slight swelling, bruising and discomfort which will resolve within a day or two. Any minor pain can be treated with over-the-counter pain medication. You can expect to resume your normal routine within 1 to 2 days.

When will I begin to see results?

Although the initial results of your Lipolite treatment will be evident immediately after your procedure, those results will become more apparent during the following 6 to 8 weeks once your body has had time to adjust to your new contours.

How many sessions are needed?

Most patients require only one Lipolite treatment to achieve the results they’re looking for.

When can I return to work after Lipolite?

In most cases, you can expect to return to your regular work routine within a day or two of your Lipolite treatment.

Can Lipolite be used with traditional liposuction?

Yes, Lipolite is an ideal complement to traditional liposuction. Lipolite can refine the results achieved with traditional liposuction, sculpting areas not able to be effectively treated with traditional procedures.

What are the advantages of LipoLite over other procedures?

The gentle yet effective technique of the Lipolite procedure offers several benefits over other treatments. Compared to those treatments, Lipolite:

• is less invasive
• involves less blood loss and injury to surrounding tissues during the procedure
• requires no general anesthesia
• offers precise results
• requires minimal downtime
• effectively treats small pockets of fat that cannot be treated with traditional liposuction
• involves less discomfort during and after the procedure

Is Lipolite approved for use in the USA?
