PureLipo is a fluid assisted body contouring procedure that is less invasive than other liposuction methods and can be used in various areas of the body, including the face and neck, the abdominal area, the buttocks, arms, back or thighs. In men, PureLipo may extract the chest fat. PureLipo may be used in conjunction with several other cosmetic procedures.
Tummy Tuck
A tummy tuck, or an abdominoplasty, is a surgery that will remove excess skin and will also tighten the patient’s muscles to get a nicely shaped abdomen. In the majority of the patients, a liposuction will be required to eliminate the fat from the abdominal area. PureLipo may be chosen as the slimming procedure.
BOTOX®
BOTOX® is a treatment that is applied on the face to prevent the formation of paths and creases on the skin caused by the dynamic wrinkles. PureLipo is a treatment that is safe to be used on the face and can have a mild tightening effect, making the face look younger and less wrinkled. The BOTOX® injections can reduce the risk of new wrinkles.
Laser Resurfacing Techniques
PureLipo is a minimally invasive surgery, but may leave a few scars behind. The patient may opt for a number of laser resurfacing techniques that will not only remove the scars, but will also even out the skin and reduce other imperfections such as spots, acne scars or blemishes. Fraxel and Microdermabrasion are just a few options when it comes to skin resurfacing and getting rid of surgery scars.
Radio Frequency Treatments
PureLipo extract fat cells and many patients can experience lax skin after the procedure, which is only normal, as the fat stretches the skin and when the fat is removed, the skin will not tighten instantly. PureLipo will tighten the skin, as it increases the power of collagen in the skin, but this may not be enough.
The plastic surgeon can recommend radio frequency treatments that tighten skin more rapidly. The treatments will also work on the collagen, but will be more effective than PureLipo in this respect.
Traditional Liposuction
PureLipo is a slimming technique that can only extract limited amounts of fat cells (up to 10 pounds) and some patients may require a more extensive liposuction. The traditional liposuction can remove greater amounts of fat from many areas of the body and can be used in conjunction with PureLipo.
Ideally, the traditional liposuction should be performed first. After a full recovery of the patient, a PureLipo treatment will be applied, which will give a nice finishing touch to the patient’s body contour.
The traditional liposuction cannot be used in certain portions of the body that have more sensitive skin, as it may cause severe bruising. The face and the neck cannot be treated with a traditional liposuction, so PureLipo will be applied in these zones. The same PureLipo treatment may be applied to the knees or the ankles.
