Caffeine Creams May Slim Thighs

About a month ago, we reported on the fact that a number of different cellulite-busting creams have hit the market with caffeine as their main ingredient. As we pointed out then, the caffeine-based creams don't actually get rid of cellulite but may improve the appearance of the skin. A new study indicates that this is probably true; caffeine could be a key ingredient in tightening and toning the skin. In fact, the caffeine might actually make your legs noticeable thinner. The study, done in Brazil, followed a group of women who used a caffeine-based cream on their legs twice daily for a full month. At the end of the month, it was discovered that over three fourths of the women had lost weight in their thighs. The weight loss was enough to make a measurable difference. Some of the women also saw weight loss in their hips after using the caffeine-based treatment. However, the findings of the study support the original theories that no cellulite is actually removed as a result of the cream. This was determined using imaging equipment that examines fat tissue in the body. Despite the fact that the women's thighs got thinner, their amount of cellulite remained the same. So, if you're just looking to tone up and trim a bit, the caffeine-based creams could be for you. If you're truly looking to get rid of the cellulite, you'll probably need to consider other rejuvenation treatments. Question of the Day: Where on your body does cellulite bother you most? photo link
