How does Triniti work?
Triniti uses both radio frequency and laser light energy to heat the tissue of the targeted areas to improve skin tone and texture and to stimulate collagen production for gradually improving results. Fotofacial RF Color Correction is the first step in the process and uses pulsed light and radio frequency heat. The light is absorbed differently by small vessels, such as spider veins, and areas of the skin with higher pigmentation, resulting in skin improvement, while the heat encourages increased collagen formation. The second step is ReFirme Skin Tightening, which uses radio frequency and infrared light to encourage existing collagen to form tighter bonds and encourages increased collagen production. How is Triniti performed?
A treatment plan will be developed during the initial consultation, which will include estimating how many sessions will be necessary and determining the areas to be treated. To perform the procedure, a trained practitioner will cleanse the treatment area and provide the patient with protective eyewear. If the treatment area included pigmented cells, these areas will become darker over the first week after the procedure and will then flake off. In some rare cases, patients my experience redness and swelling that extends up to several weeks after treatment.
What will my results be like?
Most patients notice gradual improvement in the appearance of their skin that continually improves throughout the series of treatments. Results are generally long lasting and may require maintenance sessions at six-month intervals.
What are the risks?
Side effects that are possible with the Triniti skin series include bruising, infection, scarring and pigmentation issues; however these are very rare. Most patients experience slight discomfort during the treatment and some swelling and redness, which subsides a few hours after the treatment. In some rare cases, swelling and redness may remain for a few weeks after receiving Triniti.
