Can Juvederm be successfully dissolved?

I am satisfied with the Juvederm filler in the lines on my cheeks However, the filler placed in the labial folds beside my nose is quite noticeable and lumpy. Can this be dissolved just a little bit so that the effects look more natural?

Fortunately, all of the hyaluronic acid products like Juvederm can be dissolved by injecting the enzyme hyaluronidase (brand names Wydase, Vitrase, Hylenex). The results are seen immediately for some patients, while others see results after a day or two. You should return to your injector for further treatment.

You do not indicate in your question how long ago you had your filler procedure performed, but your doctor or injector should be your first point of contact. Hyaluronidase is an enzyme that dissolves the hyaluronic acid used in Juvederm.

I would seek a second opinion from a board-certified dermatologist who regularly performs this type of procedure. Dr. Adrienne Stewart MD FAAD

Yes, hyaluronic acid (HA) products such as Juvederm, Restylane and Beletoro are reversible with an enzyme called Hylenex. Please contact your medical provider that carries this product.

You can try massaging the lumpy areas with your fingers, and the product should spread and give you a smoother look. If that doesn't help, then I would go back to the doctor who treated you and ask to have some of the filler removed with a dissolving agent.

Yes, Juvederm can be dissolved with an enzyme called Hyaluronidase. But keep in mind that the enzyme might completely remove the filler.
