Your wrinkles will not get worse if you stop using Botox. They will go back to close where it would have been if you didn't use botox at all. You do have to use Botox regularly to maintain the desired benefits.

Stopping Botox will not make anything worse than before. Instead think of Botox as "freezing time". Botox relaxes the muscles of facial expression, resulting in softening or elimination of wrinkles, and preventing the development of deeper creases that occur with aging. So while stopping Botox doesn't make anything "worse", you will find the return wrinkles you had prior to Botox, and with time (without Botox) they worsen, as occurs with normal aging.

Once discontinuing Botox you probably will have fewer lines because the muscles will have been less active in their contraction.

There is no "bad effect" associated with discontinuing Botox. You just go back to having the wrinkles you would have had anyway.

Wrinkles will return once Botox is discontinued but will not be worse.

Discontinuing Botox will make you no worse off than you would have been without using it. With that said, when a patient has used Botox for an extended period of time, they tend to forget what the "before" pictures look like until we pull them out. You age normally while using Botox so there are no ill effects of stopping.

Stopping Botox after several years usage will not make your wrinkles worse. In fact, you are still better off having used Botox and keeping the wrinkles from becoming fixed. Basically, you have kept them from becoming fixed lines.
