Pregnancy and TriActive

TriActive Laser Dermology is the only over the counter FDA cleared laser cellulite treatment. The triple action process has multiple uses and results in skin looking more contoured, toned and healthy. Currently, there has been no correlation between problems in pregnancy and laser treatments, but it's recommended not to have them while pregnant.

How It Works

TriActive procedures are performed by trained professionals. With regular treatments, patients can have firmer, smoother-looking skin. It works by administering a mechanical massage, and the rhythmic motion distends the skin in various directions, enhancing micro-circulation. This improves circulation which increases skin elasticity. For patients with certain medical conditions, including pregnancy, the increased lymphatic drainage can be risky.

Length of Treatments

Treatments take 30 to 45 minutes, are generally comfortable and are comparable to a massage. Since results are temporary, it's recommended to have regular applications to keep up the results. The average number of treatments is two per week. There is a minimal risk of burns or discomfort for those with very sensitive skin.

History of TriActive

The TriActive Laser for cellulite treatments was developed in Italy. It has been used worldwide since 2002 and received FDA clearance in 2005. TriActive treatments can also be used for the relief of muscle pain.
