Are the lasers used in laser hair removal the same as those used for tattoo removal?
Will using a laser hair removal laser near my tattoo remove or affect it? I don't want my tattoo to fade but the hair nearby it is thick and i'd like to have it removed.

The lasers used in tattoo removal are not the same ones as are used for hair removal. With that said, your tattoo will most likely be damaged if you use a hair removal laser in the area on top of the tattoo. You have a few choices. Remove the tattoo as well, leave the hair alone or consider a different hair removal technique in this area (other than lasers).

If you are having laser hair removal you must avoid the tattoo.You can be burned if you accidentally use a hair laser on your tattoo.
