I've recently noticed a collection of brown spots on my hand. Are these age spots/liver spots? If so, what can I do about them?

We would have to see the spots to diagnose if they are benign (normal). We have various lasers and peels to correct this condition. A good SPF sunscreen should be used daily if you have sun exposure.

The typical treatment could include a cream to remove the spots or a series of IPL treatments.

The best treatment for age spots is the photofacial treatment, also referred to as IPL. This non-invasive laser treatment targets brown spots on the skin and removes them through a series of treatments. Vitamin C and sunscreen will also help to protect the area from further sun damage.

These are frequently caused by prolonged sun exposure over the years and not caused by liver issues. Lasers are typically used to treat these age spots. IPL can be used to remove sun spots without downtime. If you need more skin texturing, then Fraxel can be used.
