What is used to create the foam in foam sclerotherapy?

Is it a separate ingredient? Why should I get foam sclerotherapy rather than standard sclerotherapy?

The foam is created by mixing the liquid sclerotherapy agent with air. This is accomplished by agitating the liquid between two syringes.
We foam whenever the vessel size is large enough to accommodate the procedure. The advantage of foam over straight injections is that foaming the agent makes it adhere better to the vessel wall and increases the chances of having a better result.
Thanks for the question.
