Sculptra - The Key To Rejuvenation

Scupltra is a unique injectable filler which is used to improve facial contours and improve wrinkling, sagging skin, and other signs of aging. Scupltra contains PLA, or Poly-L-Lactic Acid, which helps the body produce new collagen, aiding in the rejuvenation process of of aging skin.

Unlike other dermal fillers, Sculptra is injected beneath the skin and then molded into the desired contours. Since the Sculptra procedure also spurs the development and growth of the body’s natural collagen, the treatment area is “plumped up” over time, appearing firmer and more youthful in the months following the initial Sculptra injection procedure.

Sculptra treatment takes about 15 minutes to 30 minutes to complete in most individuals, but some patients with more extensive requirements may require additional time to complete treatment successfully.

After treatment with Sculptra, there may be some temporary swelling and bruising in the injection area which may persist for 3 to 4 days following treatment. The Scupltra treatment requires no downtime, and individuals may resume their normal activities immediately following treatment in most cases.

Depending upon the extent of the treatment required, individuals may need to undergo 3 to 5 treatment sessions to see the desired results, and sessions are usually spaced at intervals of 4 to 6 weeks. Contour improvements are gradual, appearing over 2 to 6 months after the initial Scupltra treatment, and final results usually last 2 or more years in most patients.

Some individuals opt to combine their Sculptra procedure with other treatments, including Botox and temporary dermal fillers, to achieve an overall more youthful, rejuvenated appearance.

Like many other dermal fillers, the cost of Sculptra treatment is based on the number of syringes required, with each syringe ranging in cost from $400 to $600. Some individuals may require multiple syringes to achieve the results they desire.
