Hylaform in New York, New York (NY)
Hylaform is an injectable dermal filler used to create
volume in the face and lips and to reduce the appearance of moderate to severe wrinkles
and folds. Hylaform is a clear gel made of hyaluronic acid, which is a
naturally occurring chemical in your skin that retains moisture and creates
volume.
How treatment with Hylaform is performed
Hylaform injection is a quick, in-office procedure. Your
dermatologist will cleanse your skin and apply a topical anesthetic. An
injected nerve blocker may also be used. After your skin is numbed, the
Hylaform is carefully injected into the middle dermis layer of your skin. You may
have some discomfort from the injections, but the anesthesia or nerve blocker
will make the procedure tolerable.
Recovery and results
There’s little to no downtime after Hylaform injections, but
you may have some mild redness, swelling, or irritation for a few days. Your
results will be immediate, and they last about 6 to 12 months.
