How treatment with Hylaform is performed

Hylaform injection is a quick, in-office procedure. Your dermatologist will cleanse your skin and apply a topical anesthetic. An injected nerve blocker may also be used. After your skin is numbed, the Hylaform is carefully injected into the middle dermis layer of your skin. You may have some discomfort from the injections, but the anesthesia or nerve blocker will make the procedure tolerable.

Recovery and results

There’s little to no downtime after Hylaform injections, but you may have some mild redness, swelling, or irritation for a few days. Your results will be immediate, and they last about 6 to 12 months.
