Can coolsculpting cause damage to my skin?

We have treated patients for years with Coolsculpting and have never seen any damage to any patients skin. There can be temporary side effects like bruising, redness, etc., but none of these last long at all.

The area where the CoolSculpting applicator is placed is often tender for a few days after the procedure, but the skin is not damaged. We have not seen skin damage in our practice and have not seen reports of it happening elsewhere.

I've had cellulite on my thighs since I was 14. I'm now 53. I workout regularly but can't get rid of it. About 2 years ago I saw a nearby doctor who used heat to treat it and it got worse.
