History of Elevess

Elevess is among the latest of dermal fillers sourced from hyaluronic acid (HA). Since hyaluronic acid is non-allergic, it is considered as one of safest filler materials.

Tracing the Origin of Elevess

Elevess is manufactured and designed by Anika Therapeutics and distributed by Artes Medical. Elevess was made available publicly during the latter half of 2008. Elevess was reputed to be an improvement over ArteFill that was produced by the same parent company. ArteFill was effective as a dermal filler, but beyond the reach of many people because of its high cost. Elevess was introduced as an equally-effective but cheaper solution that could be injected with minimal fuss.

Elevess becomes Mainstream

Elevess engaged attention since it was the first derma filler that combined a synthetically-produced hyaluronic acid derivative with an anesthetic. The presence of anesthetic (lidocaine) ensured that the skin was numbed during injection of the filler material, making the entire procedure painless. Elevess eventually gained FDA approval that further underlined its credibility as a safe, dermal filler option. Apart from providing increased patient comfort, Elevess is credited for its superior performance dynamics. Its injectable HA uses an advanced HA cross-linking formula that has been patented by Anika Therapeutics. This ensures greater durability of the filler. The needle used in Elevess is among the thinnest used in dermal fillings, measuring just about 30G.
