Price and quality of Restylane versus other dermal fillers?
What is the general price for the procedure for around mouth and lips. What are some differences between other fillers compared to Restylane? Why do they choose Restylane over others?

When comparing cosmetic dermal filler products, it's important to compare apples to apples, so to speak; Because Restylane is in a category of hyaluronic acid fillers (HA's), it's necessary to compare it to something similar such as Juvederm. In our opinion (and those of most practitioners) both products are superior hyaluronic acid fillers with excellent manufacturer names behind them. Personally, the reason why we tend to use more Restylane in our practice is because it is the only HA filler that comes in syringe, full syringe, and now a 2ml syringe. This provides both the practitioner and patient many more options to meet their goals and stay within a budget. At present, Juvederm only comes in a 0.8 cc syringe. Many prefer Juvederm because the smooth gel consistency may lead to less swelling and more ability to mould the product. It's not unusual for practitioners to reach for what they are most comfortable with. Another reason why we use more Restylane vs. other HA's is because it is a better product for the tear trough area because it's less likely to migrate shortly after placement. It is common for manufacturers to offer special limited rebates for their product which would then incentivize practitioners so that their patients will benefit from the price reduction. Besides HA's, there are variety of other dermal fillers. Location of placement, longevity, pricing, and safety all come into consideration when developing a treatment plan. Finally, it is difficult to provide pricing for fillers to the mouth and lip area without assessing someone in person. For example, a very full mouth using a one full syringe of product on a twenty-something year old may look very unnatural and unbalanced on a forty year old. There are many options to treat and shape the lips, mouth area, as well as chin. With that said, the best way to answer the question is to say that most charge $500 per syringe of HA product.
