Initial and Long Term Results of Radiesse

Radiesse is a skin treatment that will reduce wrinkled skin through a few shots that contain a substance similar to natural substances that exist in the human body. The injections of calcium hydroxiapatite are pain free solutions that treat facial lines, folds, sunken areas and depressed cheeks. They also fill the area around the eyes.

Initial Results of Radiesse

The initial results of Radiesse will not be too flattering, as the skin will look red and swollen for 1 to 2 days, depending on your skin’s capacity to heal.

After the side effects are no longer visible, the skin will look younger, the wrinkles will be less visible, and if there are sunken areas of the skin, these will be filled by Radiesse. If injected in the cheek area, Radiesse will lift the cheeks, giving a younger appearance to the face.

Long Term Results of Radiesse

The injections of calcium hydroxiapatite will continue to improve the appearance of the treated areas in the weeks following the injections. The optimal results may be visible after 2 to 4 weeks.

The benefits of a Radiesse treatment may last between 6 to 9 months, depending on how you respond to the treatment, your age and the number of Radiesse treatments that you’ve had. Typically, after several Radiesse treatments, the effects tend to last for extended periods of time.

The Radiesse treatment may be repeated, however, it is always important to notify your plastic surgeon if your medical condition has changed in any way, to make sure that the treatment presents no risks or potential complications.
