Thermage CPT
|

The makers of Thermage, a skin tightening and body contouring technology, has recently released a new upgrade called the Thermage CPT. Solta Medical Inc. dedicates themselves to being on the edge of technology and patient care.
A press release for the company noted that "Thermage utilizes best-in-class radiofrequency technology and now, with the introduction of the Thermage CPT, delivers more therapeutic heat across the treatment area, allowing for a more efficient skin tightening treatment."
The Thermage CPT incorporates Comfort Pulse Technology to improve efficiency and comfort for the patient. The hand piece used in the system vibrates for patient comfort and allows more energy to be used in the heating process. The system design has also been altered for easier use by the physician. Thermage is FDA approved and can help reduce cellulite and fine lines.

The Evolution of Cosmetic Dermatology
|

Two decades ago if you were seeking out cosmetic enhancements your choices were fairly limited. From shifty creams to invasive surgery it was a tedious process to tighten your skin, remove excess fat or simply look fit. Nowadays, we are spoiled with the indulgent and innovative techniques cosmetic dermatologists use to remove our wrinkles and restore that youthful charm. Botox, Restylane, Thermage and laser hair removal are just some of the procedures at your disposal when you visit your local dermatologist. The options are endless, prices are becoming more affordable and techniques are very efficient and effective.
According to Forbes, "Doctors say patients who regularly urestse fillers can put off a face-lift for at least a decade. "In 20 years, I may not be doing face-lifts at all," says plastic surgeon Dr. Kevin Tehrani, also based in New York."
In fact, dermatologists and industry observers say that the more people dabble into such minimally invasive procedures, pricks and injections, the more likely they are to forgo invasive plastic surgery like face-lifts. Cosmetic dermatology and facial fillers have revolutionized the anti-aging industry.

Getting Your Body In Shape
|
When you think about going to the doctor to improve the shape of your body, what image comes to mind? Chances are that you think about going to a plastic surgery doctor to discuss weight loss surgeries like liposuction and tummy tucks. That's definitely one option that's available to you. But it's not the only one that is out there.
Body shaping procedures that are minimally invasive are becoming increasingly popular among the general public. Rather than go in for a full-on session of plastic surgery, people get treatments that don't take so long and which still provide pleasing results. SmartLipo and LipoDissolve are some of the names that we've heard of in this area of body treatment.
An article in the Imperial Valley News recently took a closer look at non-invasive body procedures. They say that these procedures are great for getting rid of love handles and for reviving the elasticity of the skin. The one treatment that they mention is Thermage but there are others like it to choose from. You should talk to a doctor about the specifics.
Question of the Day: Which body-trimming procedure interests you most?
